Overview
Proofreading and Editing Precision is a comprehensive, activity-oriented book designed to sharpen proofreading and editing skills. It provides a thorough review of the rules governing language arts and applies them in business documents. Computerized exercises are integrated to give users practice in proofreading, editing, and formatting documents just as they would in everyday situations.
- All documents are now formatted in Word 2007.
- A new website will launch alongside the text. The website will contain PowerPoints, new tests and quizzes, proofreading activities, and links to other useful proofreading websites.
- Two all-new themed, comprehensive Projects give students plenty of opportunities to put into practice what they've learned.
- Greater emphasis on proofreading at the computer. Formerly Chapter 15, the Proofreading at the Computer chapter has been moved to Chapter 3 for greater prominence. Additional proofreading at the computer exersises have been added throughout the text.
- Confusing Words and Word Usage provide definitions of challenging words.
- End-of-Chapter Activities tackle spelling, word usage, and proofreading international vocabulary.
- Spotlight on Accuracy feature at the beginning of each chapter highlights the importance of precision in written communications.
- Pep Tips in the margins give helpful hints for successful proofreading.
