Anesthesia, Analgesia, and Pain Management for Veterinary Technicians 1st Edition by Janet Amundson Romich

Overview

Romich's ANESTHESIA, ANALGESIA, AND PAIN MANAGEMENT FOR VETERINARY TECHNICIANS combines anesthesia and pain management concepts and techniques into one resource packed with tools to improve critical thinking and client education skills in a variety of veterinary species. Written by veterinary technician specialists and DVM authors, well-organized chapters explain the science of anesthesia and how that knowledge is applied to a clinical setting. Expansive explanations of pain management in animals include the use of pain scales and veterinary physical rehabilitation, while pharmacology coverage details the "hows and whys" of a drug's action. Online and in-text resources include national board exam style multiple choice questions, critical thinking questions and case studies. Delivering the "missing pieces" needed to understand responsible anesthesia, it is ideal for use in practice and continued learning post graduation.
